Abstract

Two novel triterpenoid saponins, Snatzkein A and B, were isolated from Arenaria filicaulis Boiss. One possesses an unusual 2º-O-hydroxyethylated glucose moiety. Their structure and conformational behaviour were investigated by one- and two-dimensional 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy.
