Abstract

A reliable and reproducible method to separate and quantitate capsaicin and its analogues using argentation hplc, which permits the base-line separation of norcapsaicin, zucapsaicin (civarnide), capsaicin, nordihydrocapsaicin, nonivamide, homocapsaicin, dihydrocapsaicin, and homodihydrocapsaicin-I, is described.
