Seven guaianolides have been isolated from the herb Venidium fastuosum, four of them are new and are designated as chlorovenidin, C-10/C-14-3-isodeoxyarctolide, 9β-hydroxy-11β, 13-dihydrozaluzanin C and chlorovenidol. The other three were identified as arctolide, 3-deacetyl-10,14-deoxy arctolide and 3-deacetyl-11,13-dihydro-10,14 deoxy arctolide. The structures of the above compounds were established by spectroscopic methods.
