Abstract

Examination of the aerial parts of Microcybe multiflora (Rutaceae) has led to the isolation of a number of 6-prenylated coumarins including a novel dimer (identified by spectroscopic methods), dihydrofurocoumarins, furocoumarins and pyranocoumarins. In addition several derivatives of the triterpene betulin were obtained. The findings support the argument that Microcybe is closely related to Phebalium sect. Phebalium.
