Abstract

<jats:p><jats:bold>Inhibitorische Wirkung</jats:bold> gegen die Histon‐Desacetylase zeichnet die Azumamide A–E aus. Diese Naturstoffe wurden unlängst aus dem Meeresschwamm <jats:italic>Mycale izuensis</jats:italic> isoliert, der im Titelbild als Hintergrund dient. Nach einer Totalsynthese der Azumamide A und E gelang die Zuordnung der Stereostruktur der Azumamide. Weitere Informationen zu den Naturstoffen liefern die beiden Zuschriften von N.
