The high-performance liquid chromatographic determination of N-aroyl-anthranilic acid alkaloids is described. The compounds were separated on a C18 columns using methanol-aqueous buffer gradients at pH 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5. A relationship was developed between the observed retention time and the presence of the different functional groups of the molecule. © 1988.
