A new antimicrobial substance qingjingmycin A, has been isolated from the broth of a hybrid strain FM3-32 derived from S. qingfengmyceticus and S. hydroscopicus var. jinggangensis. The structure was established by ¹H COSY, TOCSY, HETCOR, selective INEPT and ROESY nmr studies, and its absolute structure was determined on the basis of spectral data together with amino acid analysis and HPLC analysis of the hydrolysis mixture of qingjingmycin A.
