Biologically active diterpene esters from euphorbia peplus

Abstract

By means of partition and preparative TLC, two pro-inflammatory diterpene esters were isolated from Euphorbia peplus. These compounds were identified as 20-deoxyingenol3-0-angelate which exhibited an IDsn of 0.18 pg on mice and the new ester mgenol 20-0-octanoate which exhibited an IDsn of 1.0 pg also on mice skin.
