Abstract

A phytochemical investigation of an ethanolic extract of the whole plant of Legnephora moorei Miers (Menispermaceae) resulted in the isolation and characterization of the alkaloids dehydrocorydalmine, magnoflorine, laurifoline, and stepharine; the pentacyclic triterpene friedelin; and the sterol mixture campesterol, stigmasterol, and sitosterol.
