Abstract

<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>One new bibenzyl, <jats:bold>7</jats:bold>, and one new diarylheptanone, diobulbinone A (<jats:bold>18</jats:bold>), together with sixteen known compounds, <jats:bold>1</jats:bold>–<jats:bold>6</jats:bold> and <jats:bold>8</jats:bold>–<jats:bold>17</jats:bold>, have been isolated form the rhizomes of <jats:italic>Dioscorea bulbifera.</jats:italic> Their structures were elucidated by NMR and MS analyses. Compound <jats:bold>7</jats:bold> showed high antioxidant capacity in FRAP assay and DPPH radical‐scavenging activity.
