Isopiperolein B: an alkamide from Piper nigrum

Abstract

A new pyrrolidine alkamide, Isopiperolein B has been isolated from the berries of Piper nigrum. Its structure was established as 1-[(E)-10-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)-dec-9-enoyl]pyrrolidine based on degradative and spectroscopic evidence. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
