<jats:p>The structures of three new diterpene acids of the viscidane class have been elucidated by chemical and spectroscopic methods. The unusual 2-oxatricyclo [6.3.1.04,8] dodecane ring system present in one of these can be generated chemically from suitably dihydroxylated viscidanes.
