The paper gives a review of the alkaloids of Colchium luteum Baker from various growth sites. The structure of luteidine - one of the main alkaloids of the plant - has been established. In addition, two new alkaloids have been isolated from the plant and the structure of one of them has been established as collutine N-oxide. © 1986 Plenum Publishing Corporation.
