(+)-Isocorydine α-N−Oxide: A New Aporphine Alkaloid fromMiliusa velutina

Abstract

A new aporphine alkaloid, (+)-isocorydine alpha-N-oxide (1) was isolated from the ethanolic extract of the stem bark of Miliusa velutina. The structure of 1 and the stereochemistry of its N-oxide center were determined from NMR analyses and by comparison of its spectral data with related compounds.
