Purpurenone, a new β-hydroxychalcone, (+)-purpurin, a diastereoisomer of (-)-purpurin, dehydroisoderricin, and (-)-maackiain have been isolated from the roots of Tephrosia purpurea in addition to the earlier reported flavonoids [1, 2]. Pseudosemiglabrin was obtained in admixture with (-)-semiglabrin.
