Abstract

Investigation of the aerial parts of Delphinium albrfiurn resulted in the isolation and identification of deacetylheterophylloidine 111 along with hetidine 121 and lycoctonine [31. Structure 1 for this previously unreported naturally occurring alkaloid was established on the basis of detailed nmr spectral studies and chemical correlation with deacetylheterophylloidine, obtained by the hydrolysis of heterophylloidine 141. 'H- and I3C-nmr chemical shift assignments for 1 and 2 are reported herein.
