A sesquiterpene lactam from Artractylodes macrocephala

Abstract

A sesquiterpene lactam, atractylenolactam and 8fl-methoxy-atractylenolide I have been isolated from the rhizome of Atractylodes macrocephala. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods.
