Abstract
The heartwood of Pycnanthus angolensis furnished a new isoflavone 7,4'-dimethoxy-2'-hydroxyisoflavone in addition to the known 2'-hydroxyformononetin, while that of Baphia nitida gave known isoflavonoids sativan and medicarpin.
