Abstract

The study examined the alkaloids of Rindera cyclodonta, R. echinata, Heliotropium dasycarpum, and Haplophyllum species. R. cyclodonta, collected in Kyzyl-Kum during the fruit-bearing period, had total alkaloid contents of 0.09% (roots), 3.36% (unripe seeds), and 1.89% (epigeal part); echinatine was isolated from its epigeal part and identified via mixed melting point with an authentic sample and IR spectra. R. echinata, collected in the upper reaches of Kainarsai (Tashkent Oblast) during the budding stage, yielded trachelanthine and trachelanthamine from its epigeal part. H. dasycarpum defatted seeds from Bukharsk Oblast yielded heliotrine and heliotrine N-oxide. For Haplophyllum species, total alkaloids were determined, building on prior work where skimmianine and dictamnine were isolated from H. ramosissimum.
