Abstract

<p>Kurahyne, a new acetylene-containing lipopeptide, was isolated from a marine cyanobacterial assemblage that mostly consisted of <italic>Lyngbya</italic> sp. Kurahyne inhibited the growth of human cancer cells and induced apoptosis in HeLa cells, and it seemed to localize in mitochondria.</p>
