Abstract

Bioassay-directed isolation of an antileukemic extract of Aglaia odorata has led to the characterization of (-)-odorinol, a new diamide demonstrating significant in uiuo antileukemic activity against P-388 lymphocytic leukemia growth in BDF, male mice. Its structure and relative stereochemistry were determined from physico-chemical data, spectral evidence and single-crystal X-ray analysis.
