Two new monoterpenoid indole alkaloids, named alstoscholines A and B (1 and 2), along with three known ones (3-5) were isolated from the stems of Alstonia scholaris. The new structures including their absolute configura-tions were elucidated on the basis of HRMS and NMR spectroscopic data and computational calculation methods. Compounds 1 and 2 exhibited moderate inhibitory effects on LPS-induced nitric oxide (NO) production in RAW 264.7 macrophages.
