Two new quassinoids (picraquanines D and E, 1 and 2) and a new alkaloid (picraquanine F, 3), together with twelve known related compounds were obtained from the stems of Picrasma quassioides (D. Don) Benn. Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic techniques and chemical methods. The absolute configurations of 1 and 2 were determined by ECD experiments. Compound 10 showed nitric oxide (NO) inhibitory effects against LPS-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells with IC50 value of 96.1 μM. © 2020 Phytochemical Society of Europe
