Abstract

1. Imperialine, edpetilidine, and the new alkaloid petiline C27H43O2N have been isolated from the epigeal part of P. raddeana. 2. On the basis of a study of the chemical properties and the IR, UV, NMR, and mass spectra a most probable structure and a partial configuration have been proposed for petiline. © 1971 The Faraday Press, Inc.
