1. The content of combined alkaloids in the epigeal part of Leontice albertii varies from 1.77 to 1.84%. 2. Separation of the combined bases has given thaspine, N-methylcytisine, and the new alkaloids leontalbine, leontalbinine, and albertine. 3. The configuration l-5, 17-dehydromatrine has been established for leontalbine and 7, 11-dehydro-15-oxomatridine for leontalbinine. 4. The configuration of 13, 14-dehydro-15-oxo-(5, 6, 7,11-cis)-isomatridine has been proposed for goebeline. © 1968 The Faraday Press, Inc.
