From the tertiary basic fraction of the root bark of Formosan Toddalia asiatica, a new benzo[h]quinoline alkaloid, toddaquinoline, together with six alkaloids and six coumarins were isolated. The structures were elucidated by spectral and chemical methods. © 1993.
