A piperidine alkaloid from excoecharia agallocha

Abstract

Isolation of a new piperidine alkaloid and 2′,4′,6′,4-tetramethoxychalcone from Excoecharia agallocha is reported. The structure 2,4-dimethoxy-3-ψ,ψ-dimethylallyl-trans-cinnamoylpiperidide assigned to the alkaloid was confirmed through synthesis. © 1983.
