Scholarine: An indole alkaloid of Alstonia scholaris

Abstract

A new alkaloid designated scholarine was isolated from the leaves of Alstonia scholaris. It was (±) 12-methoxyechitamidine as determined by chemical and spectroscopic investigations. © 1981.
