Abstract

A new lupin alkaloid (+)-5α,9α-dihydroxymatrine has been isolated from the leaves of Euchresta horsfeldii (E. formosana cv riukiuensis) together with matrine, matrine N-oxide, sophoranol, sophoranol N-oxide, anagyrine, N-methylcytisine, N-formylcytisine and cytisine. © 1979.
