Abstract

The Me2CO extract of the aerial parts of Piper rugosum yielded two piperidine alkaloids characterized as 8,9-dihydropiplartine [1] and piplartine dimer [2] by spectroscopic methods. Compound 1 has not been previously reported. © 1991, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
