Abstract

Extraction of the bark of Zanthoxylum conspersipunctatum Merr. & Perry (Rutaceae) has given the known alkaloid α-allocryptopine (β-homochelidonine), the amide (±)-N-benzoyl-2-hydroxy-2-(4'methoxyphenyl) ethylamine (I), and hesperidin. A new alkaloid isomeric with protopine has been shown to be (II). © 1969, CSIRO. All rights reserved.
