A New Diterpenoid Alkaloid, Sharwuphinine A from Delphinium sharwurense

Abstract

A new diterpenoid alkaloid, sharwuphinine A (1) was isolated from the aerial part of Delphinium sharwurense and the structure possessing a lycoctonine-type C-19-diterpenoid alkaloid with a nitrone functionality was elucidated by spectroscopic analysis. Sharwuphinine A (1) showed moderate vasorelaxant activity on rat aorta.
