Two New Pyrroloquinazolinoquinoline Alkaloids from Peganum nigellastrum

Abstract

Two new alkaloids, luotonins A and B, were isolated from the aerial parts of Peganum nigellastrum along with four known quinazoline type alkaloids. The structures of luotonins A and B were determined to be 1 and 2, respectively, by NMR spectroscopic evidence. Both new alkaloids have a unique structure comprising a quinoline and a quinazoline skeletons.
