Abstract

A series of sulfur-linked benzothiazolyl carbapenems has been prepared and evaluated against a battery of microorganisms. Many of the compounds displayed good activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Data is presented which delimits the pharmacophore and provides a preliminary SAR.
