<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Twenty compounds including a dioxoaporphine, annobraine (<jats:bold>1</jats:bold>); two oxoaporphines, liriodenine (<jats:bold>2</jats:bold>) and lysicamine (<jats:bold>3</jats:bold>); five aporphines, (‐)‐nornuciferine (<jats:bold>4</jats:bold>), (‐)‐anonaine (<jats:bold>5</jats:bold>), (‐)‐<jats:italic>N</jats:italic>‐formylanonaine (<jats:bold>6</jats:bold>), (‐)‐asimilobine (<jats:bold>7</jats:bold>) and (+)‐nordomesticine (8); one proaporphine, (+)‐stepharine (<jats:bold>9</jats:bold>); two protoberberines, (‐)‐kikemanine (<jats:bold>10</jats:bold>) and dehydrocorydalmine (<jats:bold>11</jats:bold>); one azaanthraquinone, 1‐aza‐4‐methyl‐2‐oxo‐1,2‐dihydro‐9,10‐anthracenedione (<jats:bold>12</jats:bold>); two amides, <jats:italic>N‐trans</jats:italic>‐feruloyltyramine (<jats:bold>13</jats:bold>) and <jats:italic>N‐p</jats:italic>‐coumaroyltyramine (<jats:bold>14</jats:bold>); one ionone, blumenol A (<jats:bold>15</jats:bold>); and five steroids, β‐sitosterol (<jats:bold>16</jats:bold>), stigmasterol (<jats:bold>17</jats:bold>), β‐sitosteryl‐D‐glucoside (<jats:bold>18</jats:bold>), stigmasteryl‐D‐glucoside (<jats:bold>19</jats:bold>) and 6‐<jats:italic>O</jats:italic>‐palmitoyl‐β‐sitosteryl‐D‐glucoside (<jats:bold>20</jats:bold>), were isolated from the fruits and stems of <jats:italic>Annona glabra</jats:italic>. Among them, <jats:bold>1</jats:bold> is a novel dioxoaporphine alkaloid and <jats:bold>12</jats:bold> was obtained for the first time from natural sources. These compounds were characterized and identified by physical and spectral evidence.
