<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Sixteen compounds, (+)‐ushinsunine‐β‐<jats:italic>N</jats:italic>‐oxide (<jats:bold>1</jats:bold>), cleistopholine (<jats:bold>2</jats:bold>), liriodenine (<jats:bold>3</jats:bold>), (‐)‐anonaine (<jats:bold>4</jats:bold>), (+)‐nornuciferine (<jats:bold>5</jats:bold>), (+)‐<jats:italic>N</jats:italic>‐acetylnornuciferine (<jats:bold>6</jats:bold>), (‐)‐ushinsunine (<jats:bold>7</jats:bold>), (‐)‐norushinsunine (<jats:bold>8</jats:bold>), (‐)‐asimilobine (<jats:bold>9</jats:bold>), (+)‐reticuline (<jats:bold>10</jats:bold>), <jats:italic>N‐trans</jats:italic>‐feruloyltyramine (<jats:bold>11</jats:bold>), β‐sitosterol (12) and stigmasterol (<jats:bold>13</jats:bold>), lyscamine (<jats:bold>14</jats:bold>), (‐)‐anaxagoreine (<jats:bold>15</jats:bold>) and <jats:italic>trans</jats:italic>‐cinnamic acid (<jats:bold>16</jats:bold>) were isolated from the methanolic extract of the <jats:italic>Cananga odorata.</jats:italic> Among them, <jats:bold>1</jats:bold> is a new stereoisomer of ushinsunine‐β‐<jats:italic>N</jats:italic>‐oxide. The structures of these compounds were established by means of spectral experiments.
