Insect antifeeding agents: Sesquiterpene alkaloids from Celastrus angulatus

Abstract

Four new sesquiterpene alkaloids were isolated from the root-bark of Celastrus angulatus. These compounds showed strong antifeeding action to several insects. Their structures were determined on the basis of spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. © 1990.
