Holarrhesin, ein neues Steroidalkaloid aus Holarrhena floribunda

Abstract

In addition to the steroidal alkaloids Holadienine (1j and Conessine (11) a third one, the hitherto not known Holarrhesine (111) (Holarrheline-12-pyroterebic acid ester) was isolated from Holarrhena floribunda (G. DON.) DUR and SCHINZ. The structure has been elucidated by spectroscopic methods and by saponification to Holarrheline (IV).
