In the course of an investigation of the contents of Hypecoum procumbens L. (Papaveraceae) which had already furnished the interesting alkaloid (+)-turkiyenine (1), we also obtained the new 3 arylisoquinoline hypecumine (1), CH22N2O6, which incorporates a urethane moiety. The reinvestigation of Tecomella undulata afforded, in addition to known quinones, tectol, dehydrotectol and two octacosanyl ferulates. One of them is reported for the first time from a natural source. The structures were elucidated by spectroscopic methods.
