Abstract

As part of our continuing efforts to search for new and bioactive acylphloroglucinol derivatives from plants of Myrtaceae family, five new FPMs, named eucalteretials A-E (1-5), along with eight known ones (6-13) were obtained from the twigs and leaves of Eucalyptus tereticornis collected from Yunnan province, China. All these isolates were evaluated for their cytotoxic effects on five human cancer (HCT116, CCRF-CEM, DU145, Huh7, and A549) cell lines and DNA Topoisomerase I inhibitory activities. Herein, we report the isolation, structural evaluation, and bioactivities of these compounds.
