<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Studies of the dichloromethane extract of stems and the methanolic extract of fruits of <jats:italic>Piper wightii</jats:italic> Miq. resulted in the isolation of 12 compounds, all new for this species. They comprise a novel neolignan <jats:bold>1</jats:bold>, a neolignan new as a natural product <jats:bold>2</jats:bold>, a novel cyclohexane <jats:bold>5</jats:bold>, two known neolignans <jats:bold>3</jats:bold> and <jats:bold>4</jats:bold>, one known cyclohexane <jats:bold>6</jats:bold>, and six known alkaloids <jats:bold>7, 8, 9, 10, 11</jats:bold> and <jats:bold>12</jats:bold>.
