Two new phenanthrene alkaloids, fissicesine and fissicesine N-oxide, together with five known alkaloids, liriodenine, oxocrebanine, kuafumine, atherosperminine and atherosperminine N-oxide, have been isolated from the root bark of Fissistigma glaucescens. Their structures were elucidated by the spectral and chemical evidence. © 1990.
