Abstract

The structure of 6′-trans feruloyl, and 6′-trans sinapoyl, lyaloside, isolated from leaves of Pauridiantha Lyalii were determined by chemical degradation and by various spectroscopic methods (S.M., 1H and 13C NMR). These compounds belong to a structural family characterized by the sequence: alkaloïd-monoterpene-sugar (C6-C3) acid. Only one representative of this family had been reported so far. Their biological function in plants is considered. © 1982.
