Two alkaloids with a bis-vincadifformine skeleton, polyervinine and polyervine, have been isolated from the leaves of Ervatamia polyneura (Apocynaceae). The structure of polyervinine was determined by spectroscopic methods and confirmed by analysis of several derivatives. The structure of polyervine was educed by spectroscopic comparison with polyervinine.
