Benzothiazoles from a putatitve bacterial symbiont of the marine sponge

Abstract

Four benzothiazoles have been isolated from fermentation culture extracts of Micrococcus sp., a marine bacterium obtained from tissues of the sponge Tedania iqnis. The structures were deduced by means of spectral analyses and literature comparisons.
