Abstract

<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The new marine sterol zoanthosterol, 4α‐methyl‐5α‐ergosta‐24 (28)‐en‐3β‐ol, has been isolated, together with cholesterol and chalinasterol, from the zoanthid <jats:italic>Zoanthus sociatus.</jats:italic> The structure of zoanthosterol was deduced from spectroscopic data.
