<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Dysamide U, a new trichlorinated diketopiperazine (1) along with seven known ones (2–8) were isolated from the sponge of <jats:italic>Dysidea sp</jats:italic>. collected from the Pacific ocean. The structure of dysamide U (l) was elucidated by high resolution FABMS and <jats:sup>1</jats:sup>H NMR data including COSY and RCT‐COSY.
