<jats:p> β-Lofoline and fawcettiine are shown to be identical. Hydrolysis of bases from Lycopodiumfawcettii gave rise to lycofoline and a smaller amount of an α-obscurine like base. Milder extraction procedures afford four new bases, base M, C<jats:sub>17</jats:sub>H<jats:sub>27</jats:sub>NO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>; base O, C<jats:sub>20</jats:sub>H<jats:sub>31</jats:sub>NO<jats:sub>5</jats:sub>; base K, which is acetylfawcettiine, C<jats:sub>20</jats:sub>H<jats:sub>31</jats:sub>NO<jats:sub>4</jats:sub>; and base, which is diacetyllycofoline, C<jats:sub>20</jats:sub>H<jats:sub>29</jats:sub>NO<jats:sub>4</jats:sub>. The isolation of fawcettiine from LycopodiumclavatumLinn. gathered in Jamaica is also reported.
