The composition of the steam distilled oil of air-dried crushed Eruco seeds was investigated by GC/ MS. Four isothiocyanates were identified in the volatile oil, three of which are reported for the first time from Eruca seeds. In addition, 4-methylthiopentanoniuile and four other non-isothiocyanate derivatives were also identified for the first time in the oil.
