Abstract

A novel(22S,25R)-13,17-didehydro:5a-cevanine alkaloid,ebeienine(1),was isolated from the bulbs of Fritillaria ebeiensis var.purpurea,together with(25S)-20-deoxy-5a-cevanin-3,β6,6β-diol (ebeiedine(2)),and(25S)-20-deoxy-5a-cevanin-3a-ol-6-one(ebeiedinone(3)).Their structures were elucidated by physical methods and finally confirmed by X-ray crystal structure determination.
